Art, Resistance and Politics

Emiliano Sacchi

Main Topic: Aesthetics and Politics
Resistance, Art and Politics

This paper aims to show how it is possible from the break with the Platonic model of thought, with what Deleuze calls the image dogmatic and state of mind, lead to a consideration of the subjectivity and scope of political experimentation. This field of experimentation may be thinking at the very heart of Plato's work, from the disputes it has with the artists and that leads to expulsion from the polis. This expulsion, rejection of the drill, what point is to ensure the good order of the city and to determine who can and should govern, to confine the art (but also politics) in the limits of mimesis and representation.
